Looking for information on family (ancestors and descendants) of John
and Savilla Morton who were in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area in the 1880 to
1900 time frame.
One of the sons Glenn Hamilton Morton is my grand-father.
John and Savilla were mothers grandparents
children of John and Savilla - Karl Morton - Fred Morton - Glenn Ham-
ilton Morton - and Frank L. Morton - all born about late 1890 Pittsburgh
Pa area father of John was Elias Morton - siblings of John were
possibly - Anna Morton - May Morton - Erma Morton - Webb Morton -
Kate Morton - Josephine (Joe) Morton - and John born Nov 14, 1863
possibly Lawrence Co., Pa. (could be Lawrence Co., Kansas) as family
seemed to have some roots there. Father of Elias was a Robert A. Morton
and thats all I know - Elias born Dec 3, 1826. Some correspondence that
my grandfather had from his Aunt Joe said there was a Morton Bible that
he should have gotten from his Aunt Kate , but it never surfaced.
Also Joe mentioned Kansas and Washington State in her letters.
George - any help would be appreciated!!!

I'm a descendant of Marshall Morton, Sr. b. ca 1755-60 in N.C. or S.C.
Do you have any info. on his wife?  Some say her name is "Winney".  My
aunt has searched this line since approx. 1960 and we have the 1790
census of him and all the children, but no wife.  Can you help?
Also, do you know if this is the line of Morton's who
connect w/the Cherokee line of Moton?
Thanks for any help,
Lacy
